One of a thousand, or a testimonial given of that faythfull man who feared God above many, [1650 or later].

Manuscript on paper, in a single cursive hand, of this sermon preached at the funeral of Sir Paul Pindar in St. Buttolp's, London, dated Sept. 3, 1650. A prefatory note "To the Reader" by Rogers's son Nehemiah states that this manuscript was prepared for the press after his father's death, making reference to the author's sequestration after he expressed Royalist views. Another note in the same hand declares that the author's "stationer" refused to publish the manuscript due to two words in the preface, "Tyranny" and "Rebellion."
